Biography

I obtained my PhD in computer science from the University of Melbourne in 2018, supervised by Professor Rajkumar Buyya, A/Prof. Benjamin Rubinstein and Dr. Rodrigo N. Calheiros. My research interests at CLOUDS lab include resource management and task scheduling of distributed systems, with a focus on improving the performance and reliability of stream processing on cloud. I have been involved in various research areas such as application profiling, performance modeling, SLA-aware application deployment, and light-weight fault tolerance mechanisms.

• 28 July 2018: I gradated from The University of Melbourne, offically claiming the Dr. qualification.
• 4 July 2018: My PhD thesis Robust Resource Management in Distributed Stream Processing Systems passed the examination process, but any valuable comments and suggestions are still welcome.
• 26 February 2018: Started a new role as Head Tutor of Distributed Systems (COMP90015) at the University of Melbourne.
